The Prodigy releases / Re: What happpened.........

On Rob de Ford's board there was a discussion about this once. Seems like Liam Howlett once mentioned to a magazine that he might do a studio version of Rock 'n' Roll or something. Nothing ever happened though unfortunately ;(

You're right. I also keep stating that you can't judge the live tracks really. They can't always be compared to the final versions. You lack sounds maybe, the final version might sound more 'full'. Et cetera. Lets hope that this time they will indeed make it before July...

and how come you are trying to contradict that??

;)
I'm not trying to contradict that at all. Mom, they are teasing me...! Hehehe ;p But you still have some childish aspects in you too, just like everyone has I think. Men show them more though than women. I try to act my age, as you can see I even reply seriously to your posting ;p

Sometimes I doubt it, although they say that men always stay children ;)

(take Speedy J's music, that stuff rocks, that dude makes music without even drums as we used to hear it
Speedy J's Pull Over really kicked in here. Loved that tune back then, but haven't listened to it for ages. Maybe I should look it up again and give it a listen...

I always refer to their style as being 'Prodigy', you cannot compare it to anything else really in my humble opinion.

What I meant is the following. If I listen to the Pioneer version, then it doesn't sound great. That's why I try to get the best possible sound from the file and then it sounds reasonable. If I listen to the one on Brainkiller.it, then it sounds like how I listen to the Pioneer version. That's why my conclusion was that they sound the same to me. If you do not do anything about the sound of the Pioneer version, then yes, the other one sounds a lot better, but with some adjusting and filtering you can get a pretty decent sound from the Pioneer version too if you ask me. Don't understand me wrong, I'm happy with this cleaned up version on Brainkiller.it and I am not trying to bring that web site down at all.

The quality of Babys Got A Temper on his web site isn't much better than the Pioneer one in my humble opinion. It sounds like it got extraced to Wave, adjusted the equilizer a bit and compressed is back to MP3 format. The Pioneer version sounded the same if you ask me.

Looks to me here he does give credit where it is due.
http://www.brainkiller.it/prodigy/credits.html
The story about the tribute album is not credited anywhere for as far as I could see. I have seen quotes from me all over the Internet as well as at AMP-T, but very often there is no reference to me. Like Neko stated, I would prefer it if people would ask, or at least credit properly.

On a side note, I like the web site in question. On the other side again though there are some untrue things on there as well like the Minefields (Radio Edit) which it is not for instance, instead it is the Monkey Mafia Mix of Minefields as played by the Chemical Brothers on the radio once.

The text till the tracklisting is copied from me which I posted on this web site and several others, the tracklisting is taken from Neko's web site. The text underneath the tracklisting is from neither Neko nor me though.

In my humble opinion it is always nice and advisory to mention your sources in full. If you use material from others, then ask them, or at least credit them. If you 'steal' an idea, then you do not need to ask, but then credit for it still.

To all: what do you think about that mix of "no souvenirs" by UNCLE???
It seems to me i don't sure that IS "no souvenirs"...
Again, this is a speculation. It is not sure/confirmed that this is in fact a version or remix of No Souvenirs.

That's a speculation. XL-Recordings only stated that they hope for a new single in March, they didn't mention any titles. No Souvenirs was said to be released some time ago. It reminds me of Wind It Up. Liam writes a tune, but once it is planned to be released it's already to 'old'. Liam said he would never do it like he did with WIU back then, so I don't think that the single will be No Souvenirs. If it will be, then it might be because of the pressure of the label and it might be an 'outdated' tune then.

During there Lowlands gig last year you could defenitely not hear any guitars at all. I wonder if Ally play-backed ;) I think they didn't set up the equipment properly... or so I hope!

Be patient. Wait and see. No use to speculate. I hope for the best. I fear the worst. Time will tell.
