Why didn't you buy it from XL-Recordings? It's the cheapest there. Anyway, there's been 900 copies pressed as far as I've heard.

Errrrr.... Yeah, cheers m8. I decided that i like the sample there now, it makes sence when you listen to the lyrics before it. Quite cool actually
Agreed. It fits in there. On the other side, it might be there to remind people who Prodigy is since quite some people know Firestarter. That would be a bad way of promotion in my opinion then. Anyway, the sample is somewhat distorted, sounds nice and fits in if you ask me.

en julle verstaan my taal?
Ik zou zeggen dat het Zuid-Afrikaans is, want Nederlands is het in ieder geval niet ;) For the English speaking people, the language quoted above looks like Dutch, but with quite some spelling mistakes then ;) Could be South-African Dutch though.

I just realized that I can also just download the file straight instead of viewing it on the server ;)

It's the French promotional copy of Firestarter on DeLabel. It comes in a cardsleeve and has the normal four tracks on it. If you take a look at my list of my own collection, then you will see it on there too under DeLabel. You can view the catalogue number there. That is all there is to say about this item really.

It doesn't work because you linked it to a file on your hard disk ;p

Picture links don't work on at your Hosting Provider apperantly. Can you give a link to the HTML page on which the picture is displayed? You can also compare this item with my listing at my web site (http://www.the-prodigy.org) for instance, but it is probably here on this web site too somewhere or otherwise on Kotta's web site.

Cheers,

The Prodigy releases / Re: leeroy dj'in

I listened to some old(er) DJ sets by Leeroy again a while ago and I think that he does it quite well. I like his choice of music which he played around 1993/1994. I haven't heard much of his new(er) DJ sets which is a shame. Hearing you, it sounds like quite a nice set. And I can understand his smiling 'No comment' keeping in mind the more rockish direction the band is seeming to go.

No matter how much I liked The Fat Of The Land, I wouldn't want the new album just to be a Part Two, a sequal. I would like them to keep on advancing and not staying stuck at something. From what I've heard live, they've kept quite some aspects of The Fat Of The Land. I always say that you cannot judge them by only hearing their live material, so I'm waiting for something to be released to make up my mind. I like all the new tracks, but I don't know in how far they offer something new. Lets all wait and see. To already say that the new style of music doesn't do the trick is too early. I prefer to wait for something more final. No matter what, I like the new tracks and I'm curious about the new single and the coming album.

Defenitely not artists like the Chemical Brothers, Orbital, et cetera as mentioned above. In a way they produce the same musical style as The Prodigy. The outcome hence wouldn't be very surprising I think. Such artists are good for remix work, not for collaborations if you ask me. Bassment Jaxx did a nice remix for Missy Elliot. Maybe they would make a nice remix for Prodigy too, but I don't see them collaborate either really. I have no idea really Des, all I can think of are artists whom would make nice remixes. Now that I think of it, maybe a collaboration with Missy Elliot would be surprising ;)

The Prodigy releases / Re: Wat about Maxim???
April 22, 2002, 01:51:03 PM
It seems like Liam Howlett would like Keith Flint to take a bigger role in the band. I don't give the band that much more years to be honest. Now that Leeroy Thornhill has left, Maxim and Liam are both doing own things as well... There are a lot of opinions about all this. Read some other threads about the new music and all to know more. Nothing really to say about all this. All we can do is wait and see. We can't judge yet because we have nothing to judge.

There are more tracks. You forgot for instance the jam track which was given the fan title 'We Do What The Fuck We Want'. I don't think they sound that 'polished' as you call it, but maybe I don't understand you ;)

Can't say what I like best. I'd rather wait for more final versions. I like all the new tracks, but I still think that they don't offer that much new. I hope the new album will be more than just The Fat Of The Land Part Two.

To answer the question, this single is the Intercord version of the USA release simply said. It features four versions of Wind It Up, but lacks the Bonus Beats version. It comes in a slimline jewelcase. There is another one which you forgot to mention even, and that is the 7-track on Polydor. It features the same tracks as the USA release, but doesn't come in a digipak, but in a slimline jewelcase.

The Sun reported this as well. I don't know how serious this news is though. I think most of you know the reputation of the Sun ;) Wait and see as I always see, lets wait and see...
