The main point here was that this person replied to a posting which was more than a month old and with no new information or anything otherwise interesting at all. If I do things like these, then my apologies. But please quote me such cases since I cannot remember any of them on this forum.

HOAX!!! >:(
No use to repeat something which was already made very clear earlier in the thread. Besides this, this thread is over a month old - let it rest unless you have something constructive/usefull to say/report.

I made a mistake in my posting, I wrote that there weren't any gigs planned for next year, but Big Day Out is then whereas I thought it was still this year that it would be held. My mistake, sorry.

As for the article. like I already wrote it was a hoax. It made me laugh when I saw it the first time because of the Scandinavian tour part. I posted this message here only to prevent people from panicing.

On the Beggars Banquet web site someone not related to The Prodigy, their management or their label wrote that The Prodigy has been said to split up. That person read the news on a web site of which you can find the link below. Please let me state that this is probably another hoax, a fake, a fraud

I've always said that people shouldn't believe the hype. People listen to gossip way too much. If you read the text it states 'Scandinavian' whereas Prodigy haven't toured there at all. They also talk about gigs planned for the beginning of next year - There hasn't been any gig which is confirmed for next year.

Read the article here:
http://playlouder.com/news/2759.html

The news hasn't been confirmed yet, so please stay calm people and don't help in spreading rumours! Please wait untill things get officially confirmed or denied. Believe me, it will most likely end up being a joke, a fake.

I agree. Maxim is 'stronger' in lyrics than Keith Flint is. Keith gives it his own touch which makes it fit in with the music quite well, but Maxim's voice just does the trick more if you know what I mean. Take Mindfields for example...

Everytime I hear something new about The Prodigy I check it out. Even the smallest leads I follow. With this story it is the same. I've done some research and I've come to the conclusion that it's not Liam Howlett. There is a DJ who calls himself DJ LH and I'm tend to believe that this is the artist you mention. I want to stress that I do not know this 100% sure, but I do know this 99% sure which is enough for me for now.

What style where these tracks? Any titles, et cetera? What did the records look like and what was engraved in the vinyl?

First of all let me say this: do not believe the hype! People state these things constantly, but it's never true in the end. But what if it is true afterall? Remember Earthbound and Scienide for instance...! Hence the questions above. But this will probably turn out to be a hoax just like all those tracks on Napster and all the white labels going round at the moment which I encountered.

QuoteTell me more about the dave clark thing!
Heard a tune on the radio once and I liked it a lot so I recorded it. After the tune was over they said that it was by Dave Clark and that it came from a 'Red Release'.

When Electronic Punks was just released I bought it, watched it and when I first heard Molotov Bitch on it I thought that it sounded really, really, really almost the same as Dave Clark or maybe it just was the same tune...

I tried to look up the older tape again, but I had recorded something over it. I did some research back then and I found out that there were several records by Dave Clark called Red 1, Red 2, et cetera, so I still didn't know a thing.

Basically that's all I did back then. Still haven't found out more really. But later on I also though that maybe they played Molotov Bitch and only mentioned Dave Clark because the tune before that was by him... Just an idea... But I don't think that I misunderstood...!

So, I would like to get in touch with someone who's really into Dave Clark to be able to find out how and what. It still puzzles me when I think about it. I think that the tunes were the same... or otherwise they were really quite alike...

QuoteDoes anybody know why electronic punks doesn't contain Fire's and Out Of Space videos?

Out Of Space is on there like Antz already replied. As for Fire, they weren't happy with the video clip so they left it off Electronic Punks like Antz wrote as well.

There are two ways of obtaining the video clip officially. One is buying the video The Video Chapter which is an XL-Recordings release, the other way is by buying a promo video of Fire. Or you could try to download it from somewhere.

QuoteAnd what is the name of track played in beginning and the end of electronic punks? (Definately not a prodigy)

QuoteNo offence but i hope that statment is false... i mean if its true u have been waiting a fair while havnt u?

No offence taken, it's a fair question :) No, I haven't waited for a long while, just visit my web site and you will notice what I buy every now and then... ;) I haven't updated that list for a while, but it's good enough to give you an idea.

QuoteAnd another note i hated the video of voodoo people, i downloaded the chemical bros version of the net and didnt like it at all,

Haven't seen that clip for a while, but I like the original video clip of Voodoo People a lot. Watch it since it's worth your time I think. But keep in mind that taste is personal so you might not like it afterall...

Quotep.s. loved the chick on no good she was hot... prob old and ugly now
