Because I promissed not to.

I have their latest gigs for instance, but I promissed not to spread them, so I keep those to myself as well. I've got two tracks from the Maxim's Grim Reaper EP on MP3 format ripped straight from Maxim's original DAT, but I promissed not to give them to others.

Sorry, but I'm not allowed to list them. You will have to believe me on my word for now I'm afraid. But I will see what I can arrange and maybe soon I will publish a listing. What I can tell you is that the whole What Evil Lurks E.P. is on there, but everyone already knew that.

QuoteMaybe this tunes are links from some Prodigy gigs...

Like I already wrote, Crew.mp3 is a sample, Beginning.mp3 is from Tobi Wood's fake Prodigy album and the other two are not Prodigy related for as far as I can tell. They are defenitely not from any live show. Unbelievable.mp3 is known to be a fake. I didn't have a very good listen to the fourth tune, but it wasn't Prodigy related. Sorry to disappoint you. Just take a look at my web site under Tracks...!

Rare MP3's? Maybe... But defenitely not Prodigy tunes! I listened to Beginning, Crew, Kewlsong and Unbelievable and none of them are Prodigy. Beginning comes from Toby Wood's fake Prodigy album called Inflicted. Crew has been used for the Bonus Beats version of Wind It Up; this is the original, but not Prodigy only a sample source. Kewlsong has a part of an old Robin Hood series theme tune in it, but has absolutely nothing to do with Prodigy for as far as I can hear and not even a sample source whereas the other two are very, very sideways related. Unbelievable is not Prodigy and also not related. If you want to see an almost complete list off all official Prodigy tracks then go to my web site. There are still some errors on that list and also the demo cassette Liam gave to XL-Recordings misses, but for the rest I would say it's complete. Browse to www.the-prodigy.org

Upload some samples of them so that we can have a listen. But they're probably fake if you don't recognize them at all. They might also be fan remixes or something alike. Don't forget that titles can be wrongly spelled too, like once I encountered a track called something like Blow It Up, but it was Diesel Power ;)

You can order it via the companies web site. I think the URL was www.private.com, but to make sure you could check out Kotta's web site too. Personally I would still like to buy the DVD's just for the different format... hehe ;)

Thanks!

No use buying it then. Too bad since I would like to hear something new... even if it's only a bit new ;)

I noticed this as well, but I was wondering one thing and that is if the version of Narayan on this release is different then the one on TFOTL. The total tracktime might be different, maybe the beginning or the end of the track. Anyone who can tell us if it's the same or if it's different? Probably the same, but you never know...

I don't like this kind of 'support'. Still I will answer your question as to where you could download Molotov Bitch. Point your browser at www.google.com and do a search on "Prodigy Molotov Bitch MP3 download" and you should end up with various web sites where you can download this track.

The Prodigy released their first single in 1991 called What Evil Lurks. One Love was released in 1994. It was first released as two whitelabels named Earthbound 1 and Earthbound 2 in that same year. Molotov Bitch is a B-side of the first released single of the album The Fat Of The Land. The name of that single is Firestarter and it was released in 1996.

As you can see, Molotov Bitch is quite recent still compared to their other work. But why download commercially available music? You don't support the artist in any way if you do this. If you like their music, then buy it. You can still order it for a few quid on the XL-Recordings web site or at for instance CDNow.

Counter question: would Prodigy take the idea from the fake? No, the fake version came after the live link. I don't think that Prodigy would use an idea from a fake release.

Sometime ago i got this mp3 from Napster. It's basically Prodigy doing Benny Blanco live. It has Maxim MC-ing over it and sounds really realistic (it's crappy quality, like live stuff normally is). So are you sure that it's not done by the band themselves? Could they have played it anyway?

I don't really understand your posting. I will try to explain the story a bit and I hope that it will answer your question.

The Prodigy have had one link which they played live which featured the Benny Blanco sample. Toby Wood made up a fake album which would feature a track called Benny Blanco - this is a fake track. The link which they play live is obviously real.

Please remember that this link has no official name. The name Benny Blanco is a made up name by some fans, just like the trackname We Eat Rhythm (Jungle Mix) is a made up name by fans.

Does this clear it up a bit for you? I hope so. If not, then please reply and I will try to answer your question better.

Quoteso much off-topic replies :(
how is that sampler?
is it sampler or some kind of promo only?
i'd like to get some of those sounds for remix.
The sampler is available on 12" and CDS. It features two tracks; the album version of Girls and the instrumental of Memphis Bells. This is at current the only source to get the instrumental of Memphis Bells from. Officially seen, these samplers are not commercially available, although even XL-Recordings themselves sold several 12" copies of it ;)
