The Prodigy merchandise and collectables

This section is especially designed for the hard-core fans, with the low down on all the cool Prodigy stuff out there, which may or may not have anything to do with the music. This might be really an obsession to some people to try collect stuff. If that's your thing then this is a good place to read more about those items and maybe see some new ones that you haven't got yet. On the other hand this site might also inspire you to start collecting the stuff.

The Prodigy X RYCA ‘rave heroes' chrome art figure collection

April 2017 The Prodigy announced an exclusive limited edition art figures collection with award winning British Artist RYCA (aka Ryan Callanan).

RYCA is well known for his series of hip hop legends including figures of biggie, 2pac and eazy-e which led him to approach the band to make his ‘rave heroes’ collection. And as we know Liams love to action heroes and studio "pets" this was a collaboration to happen sooner or later.

The partnership resulted in the creation of a strictly limited, hand sculpted set of chrome-plated 3.75” scale art figures featuring band members Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim.

Highly collectible, Ryca has produced a limited edition of 250 sets using styling clay and modelling wax to produce a silicone mould from which resin casts are made.

In addition to these there are 10 sets gilded in 23.5ct gold leaf, not available for purchase anywhere, but sent out at random to ten buyers of the original 250 sets of art figures sold.

The boxes feature backdrop artwork from the band’s live shows and are silkscreened and hand printed for each spot colour. Every box is individually numbered and hand signed by Liam, Keith, Maxim and Ryca.

Pre-sale opened Wednesday April 5th at 10am BST, exclusively via The Prodigy website.

General release began Friday April 7th at 10am BST with sets available from theprodigy.com and Art Republic.

RYCA (Ryan Callanan) is an award winning artist based in Essex, UK. Already a prominent artist on the street Art scene, the last three years have seen Ryan move away from this aesthetic towards a new practice that draws upon his in-depth knowledge of materials and craftsmanship acquired through his training in industrial model making and 3-D design.

On teaming up with Prodigy RYCA said “The Prodigy have been the soundtrack in my life since I was playing with action figures, I'm now immortalising my rave heroes as art toys ...”.

Stuart Semple Versus The Prodigy

The Prodigy celebrated their sell-out UK tour Run With Wolves with a limited-edition run of collaborative prints created with a little help from the proto-punk pop polymath Stuart Semple. The first of these entitled Thunder was released via CultureLabel.com. Released in an edition of just 75, these prints are uber-exclusive, even more so with each one of them personally hand-finished by Stuart Semple who has added a secret invisible image that can only be seen when you are gurning your face off on acid, ketamine, ecstasy and diazepam in the dark corner of a grimy south London warehouse rave.
Each print is published by Little Art Book using traditional hand silkscreen printing techniques and is embossed and signed by both The Prodigy and Stuart Semple.

Original selling price - £550

In the early part of 2016 Tony craved to design and paint a piece of artwork that was eye catching, tactile and totally different. At the same time, he was collecting vintage punk badges from the mid to late 1970’s. He put the two together and came up with the idea of painting and forming Giant 3D pin badges from designs he already had in his collection. After nearly 9 months of research and fabricating countless prototypes, Tony painted his first badge in early 2017 and now sells his badges in galleries in the UK and the United States.

All Tonys badge design’s are taken from actual pins from the 1970’s to the 1980’s with a heavy influence on the punk scene, painting a number of badges from designs manufactured by Better Badges from the years 1976-84.

In 2018, Tony worked with French graffiti artist Invader and produced 10 giant pin badges using the artists designs for his month long LA exhibition 'Into the white cube’.

Since 2018 Tony has worked with Hard Rock hotel chain and more recently released a series of Prodigy oversized badges after the band contacted him in the summer of 2020.

The Fat Of The Land - The Prodigy beer

An official promotional beer

In 1997, at the UK press launch of their Fat Of The Land album, the Prodigy flew loads of journalists to a remote farm somewhere in Wales. The hacks were introduced to a very large Hereford bull, and taken into a barn where a sound system of positively promethean proportions was used to play back the album at ear-bleed-inducing volume.

As is normal at such an event, the assembled throng were plied with free ale. In this case, very special ale - lager in green bottles, with black Prodigy labels. One on the neck carries the ant logo the band used at that time, the one on the front reads "THE FAT OF THE LAND" across the middle with "PILSNER LAGER Alc 5% volume" at the bottom, and the one on the back says "BEST AFTER: JUNE 30 1997" and carries both the band's logo and that of their record company, XL.
