Right, so I went out last night, we planned to have a special Western-party. A pal of mine loves those shitty western-movies. Okay, you know, actually you can just HATE them, but if you watch them from another point of view (don't ever take westerns / easterns serious, or you'll be bored to death, laugh about them, for example, listen to those unbelievable dull phrases and stuff, give yourself western-names (I was Pedro, we had a Pablo, Mary, Bill, Sanchez, Esmeralda and loads of Greenhorns), or watch out for tire-tracks in the sand coming from cars or whatever. Every second western has them. I guess they come from the camera-cars) - then you'll learn to get more fun out of a western than of every comedy.

I promise!

So, we had this Western-night, originally with those annoying toy-pistols stolen from our little brothers or whomever, banging around. We even had sombreros and ponchos and all the crap. I never looked this shitty.
Anyway, whil drinking endless bottles of Desperados, Gin Tonic and Tequila, we watched one western after another. Then we got out (still packed up in the cowboy-outfit), totally drunk, we had one man (Sanchez), who didn't drink that much (a bit rum maybe) who drove us to a little b-day celebration of my workmate (a SHE and this she looks like flewn right out of a manga, I loved her from the very beginning) where we got more drunk, got to know a coiffeuse who cutted our hair quite nice, rolled down the stairs afterwards and drove to the club I work at thursday nights.

We had a few more drinks, annoyed the one or another person, spoke to many young and pretty girls, got home alone because we stank like cowboys (dirt in the face and whiskey on the ponchos) and behaved like full on morons and then ended up being nearly caught by civil-cops while driving over a red traffic light

I can't even think of going to work tomorrow again

Have a pleasent new week everyone

Thanx for the thread, Zed (rhymed again)

Rebirth is a really bullshit to me too... i've tried to do something in there a couple of times, but then i uninstalled all the stuff. some mate of mine is really into Rebirth. at least was IIRC. so, i just dunno what to say more about it...

Ah, at least there's ONE person who also didn't like it!
It's so awful, everybody's using that Rebirth-303, thinking "Why should I buy the machine if I can use the software", but it just sounds plain empty, I think.

There should be a limitation of the overall amount of tracks that use a 303 (doesn't matter if soft or hard) that come out
per year, so we wouldn't have to tantalize our ears so much.

CrusherX live is a pretty nice synth with all these resynthesis and 3d clouds thingies.. it rocks to create any weird sounds.. i bet Speedy J uses it. http://www.stelkens.de/sk/crusherx/index.html

WaveWarp is a Reaktor-type synth, i.e. creating your own synths and filters with using small parts...

Thanx for the links and info!

Right, it sux and right, a real studio is so expensive.
All the taxes and stuff you have to pay you wouldn't even think about.
Here you'll have to pay for overaverage-loudness (day, at night you pay other conditions) and certain special taxes because of the swimming floors in the recording-rooms, the lessor charges more for those because of the altered building-structure and stuff.
Then there's the special air-filtering-system, also very expensive, all those basstraps and sound-absorbing constructions, someone who's checking the pc's every week, the cable-wastage and ... don't forget the scrubwoman.

But anyway, pc sucks. Galore. There's good software though, that's right. Have you checked Beatburner yet? (www.beatburner.com)
A great tool, I thought of purchasing it, but it's a bit expensive for me at the moment.

Cheers fellow

I hate pc's

I just can't stand them, they stink (sometimes), they are always too slow - no matter what you put into them, they are ought to be totally logically, but they seem like absolutely uncontrollable and abitrary and they always get worse when they should increase their capacitys.

Never change a running system, this silly saying became so right for me, it's like a first directive already.
Whenever I try to upgrade/update something it's mostly totally wrecked afterwards. Don't let me even SEE your pc.

I had some really amusing times with mine, for example, I've had a pc since I was 15, and since that first one, I never ever had a functioning floppy drive.
No A:/
Never.
I built in my old hd into the new machine and suddenly the floppy drive stopped working. Wondered a little bit, copied the old files, took the hd out, nothing. Stopped working since then.
I wrecked a keyboard once, when I was attacked with the 8th bluescreen in about half an hour (I know, there are people with even more bad luck, but I so freak out when I see those messages), I hammered on the keyboard, because whenever I closed one bluescreen, the next one would appear, it was just cruel.
As you might see, I'm a bit short-tempered with these things, and I'd so like to throw my computer out of the window just to see him smash on the ground in deep pain.
Then I would go and buy hardware instruments. Better anyway. So.

Thank you for your time.

Installing Ad-Aware is a good thing to do then too.

Plus, installing ZoneAlarm, which is free and avaible at www.zonelabs.com

There's a version you have to pay for as well, don't know if it's better and what it does, but the free one is quite good and it won many awards.

Has taken over what?

The house scene, yes. Seems so.
Or are you relating this to Prodigy?

WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR LICENCE? WHY SHOULD I PAY TAXES FOR MY GOVERMENT THAT STEALS FROM ME ANYWAY?
WHY SHOULD I PAY SAMPLE THAT IS LIAM USING, IF HE WANT TO USE IT THEN HE MUST PAY FOR IT, NOT I.
AND WHY SHOULD I PAY THE PRODUCTION?

No, we're not talking about taxes here.
Well, let me explain that you actually don't pay for the samples he is using, all this is fully paid by the record company.
You don't have to give away a cent for this stuff.
Why you should pay for the production?
This is simple, if you would decide to not pay it, you would get completely lame music. Because producing means making the music ready to be heared. Believe me, you would immediately pay for a serious production if you would hear any Prodigy-track without severe editing...

IN THE END, LIAM SAID THAT HE DON'T GIVES A FUCK ABOUT FANS SO ...
WAKE UP BUDDY.

Well, I don't mind as long as he makes good music and does some amazing gigs. Or?
So, if you care about whether he gives a feck or not - and you obviously seem to, then why is that?

Since all the marketing-stuff isn't lying in his hands, he just has to care about the music itself.
And I don't see why it is this important to write music that your fans will surely like.
If he had done so, we wouldn't have had the music we have got right now. Besides, this fan-caring state of mind is what every silly Pop-girlie is all about, can't hear it anymore...

IF YOU HAVE SOME TIME LISTEN TO TOOL'S SONG HOOKER WITH A PENIS AND YOU'LL FIGURE OUT EVERYTHING.

I know Tool, a friend of mine is quite fond of it.
But it's not really my taste.
Besides, I don't get what I should figure out when I'd be listening to it?
You mean that in relation to the fact that Liam doesn't care about his fans but Tool do?
Don't get it.

Bye,
Ekko
