Girls was the first single from AONO.

"Girls" was the fourteenth single released by The Prodigy on August 30, 2004. It was the first single from the album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned. "Girls" peaked at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart, number 18 in Finland, and number 12 in Greece. The first known radio play of "Girls" was on June 10, 2004, on a Norwegian station called NRK P3.

The track is based on a sample of "Style of the Street" by Manchester's breakdancing crew Broken Glass and features guest vocals from Ping Pong Bitches. The song is characterized by its gritty, aggressive sound, blending heavy beats with distorted synths, and marks a significant return for the band after a period of relative silence following their previous album, The Fat of the Land (1997). The Prodigy’s signature energy is present in the track, which leans more towards electro and breakbeat, showcasing their ability to evolve their sound while retaining their intense, rebellious spirit.

"Girls" comes backed with two exclusive B-sides—"More Girls," featuring Maxim, and a remix of the album track "You'll Be Under My Wheels." The single helped set the tone for the Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned album, representing Liam Howlett's desire to break away from the expectations placed on the band after their massive success in the late '90s.

On June 21, 2004, "Girls/Memphis Bells" was released as a promotional single by the band as a very limited 12" vinyl record. Beyond this, "Memphis Bells" was made exclusively available online as a digital download on June 28, 2004, via a now defunct website. Available in a limited edition of 5,000, each of the downloads featured a unique variation of both the track and the artwork.

The music video for "Girls" features a gritty, urban setting, aligning with the track's raw energy. The video is fast-paced, with quick cuts and a focus on the frenetic vibe that The Prodigy is known for.
