Tom Morello

"Working the project was excellent," Rage Against The Machine's buzzsaw guitarist Tom Morello told MTV about his work with the Prodigy. "We did a song called 'One Man Army'... and it was difficult to get our schedules to mix, so I called up Liam (Howlett of the Prodigy) and I said, 'Why don't you just send me a track, and I'll put some guitar on it.' He suggested that I should just send him a DAT of some f***ed up guitar, and I said, 'Well, that's easy, that's my specialty.'"

In an interview featured on US music website Addicted To Noise, Morello said he was "going to do another song with Prodigy", and that he had loved working with Liam Howlett on 'One Man Army' featured on the Spawn soundtrack. The track took four days, recorded during gaps in the Prodigy's touring schedule earlier this year. However, a spokesman for the Prodigy in London said any new collaboration was unlikely to happen soon. "I'm sure Liam would welcome another opportunity to work collaboratively, but it's all a matter of finding the time, and unfortunately with the Prodigy there's not a lot of that spare at the moment," he said. "Liam is a big fan of Tom's guitar style and the noises that he comes up with, I think everyone knows that... and if he'd been given a bit more time I'm sure he would have wanted to do some more with Tom." Rage Against The Machine are currently taking time off after a year of touring. They are due to start recording their next album soon.

Notes

Spawn soundtrack is pretty unique soundtrack. It contains dance collaborations with rock and metal bands. Prodigy did this track with Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. It contains lots of cool guitar riffs. There is also that famous RATM - Bulls Of Parade riff sampled in to the track! One Man Army was one of the first tracks that Liam composed at his new Dirtchamber homestudio. One army contains Maxim on vocals. This track can be also found from the b-side of Smack My Bitch Up single but it's called 'No Man Army' and it is totally intrumental version.

There are two different covers available.. the one with plain mask is limited edition only and the one with more stuff is the regular one!
