F9: The Fast Saga - Fast & Furious 9 soundtrack

A new remix version of Breathe was released on June 25th on Fast & Furious 9 soundtrack. It features RZA from Wu-Tang Clan. Nice little fact is that the sword sounds in original version of Breathe were sampled from Wu-Tang Clan - "Da Mystery of Chessboxin" from the album called "36 Chambers".

The track list of the soundtrack album for F9, the ninth installment in the Fast & Furious series, has been announced. The album features songs by artists such as Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Latto, Ty Dolla $ign, Jack Harlow, 24kGoldn, The Prodigy feat. RZA, Lil Tecca, Skepta & Pop Smoke feat. A$AP Rocky, Juicy J & Project Pat, Anitta & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 17, 2021 by Atlantic Records. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. A separate album featuring Brian Tyler’s original score from the film will be announced soon. F9 is directed by Justin Lin and stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron. The movie will be released in theaters nationwide on June 1 by Universal Pictures.

I can’t tell you how excited I am for the premiere of #F9 tonight. Working on Breathe with Liam Howlett / The Prodigy & RZA was unreal. Nothing beats working with artists you highly respect on a project that inspires you to be as creative as possible. It’s been a hell of a journey seeing this project come to fruition for many different reasons.

But we managed to see our musical vision come to life regardless. As events of the pandemic unfolded, it was clear that premiering music at a live show wouldn’t be possible. There’s something about performing a new song to a live audience that really brings it to life. That being said, being given the opportunity to have this record included in the new Fast & Furious film is the next best thing I can think of to performing it for a live audience. Not only that but I am a huge fan of the series and it’s surreal to know that we will be featured as a prominent part of the biggest film of 2021.

A film about action, cars, family, and never giving up. I don’t know if the right pigeon shat on my head, or if it’s simply a case of hard work & dedication paying off, but either way I feel enormously grateful that all of this is happening and it’s very inspiring.
