Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method or Orbital,

Maybe something with Tom Morrello again?

Me.

I like the athmosphere in Jethro Tull tracks, that would be very interesting.
Nice would be something with Slash, still the most talented guitar player in the world.
An interesting combination: Prodge and Jamiroquai.
Liam's Beats and Jay Kay's funky basslines and vocals.
Does anybody know Eric Serra? Best OST writer in the world, he's got this spirit to write auch amazing twilighted songs, unbelievable.
And a last one: Jonny L. I think that would kick some serious oldskool Prodigy-fans arses, galore...

Hell, this question challenges SO many answers...

Defenitely not artists like the Chemical Brothers, Orbital, et cetera as mentioned above. In a way they produce the same musical style as The Prodigy. The outcome hence wouldn't be very surprising I think. Such artists are good for remix work, not for collaborations if you ask me. Bassment Jaxx did a nice remix for Missy Elliot. Maybe they would make a nice remix for Prodigy too, but I don't see them collaborate either really. I have no idea really Des, all I can think of are artists whom would make nice remixes. Now that I think of it, maybe a collaboration with Missy Elliot would be surprising ;)

fuck Missy Elliot, shitty commercial r 'n' b bitch, they should collaborate with rudeboy, johnny rotten, kurt cobain( only his vocals), new order, the beastie boys ( I know it's impossible), atari teenage riot, public enemy, bin laden,...

They have to drop those fuckin guitars or put them thru a guitar synth or sampler with effects. They can't become a rock group with some beats and effects

St8ofbass

bad brains, fugazi, red hot chili peppers, meat beat manifesto, bomb the bass, the clash, luke slater, echoboy, Scratch Piklz, Xecutioners, 6x7, george clinton, peaches, dhs, eminem (funny), pole, james white and the blacks, mark b and blade, skitz, speedy j, primal scream, death in vegas, iggy pop, public enemy, sex pistols, some big jamaican bashment producers, ministry, gary numan ('r friends electric' style), timbaland, dr dre, flightcrank and me!  :)

the list could go on and on... but anythimng that's seriously fucked up and sick from all styles of music...

des

paulbi1

wow these lists are good, maybe liam needs these!!!

id agree with the Chilli Peppers, Tom Morello, Dr Dre and maybe Eminem isnt such a bad idea, a bit commercial but think of the mix of lyrics.

I think the neptunes would be good to produce with something with Dave Grohl would be obvious due to the mutual respect, but good.
Maybe System of a Down would be a good mash up, and certainly a big jump back from the downtempo new stuff.

Excellent topic lets here more,

Any chance of Lulu covering Serial Thrilla(lol)

You're not serious about Eminem, or?

I hope this will never happen.
Eminem is one of the most self-contradicting and hyped pop-stars, you can't call that HipHop anymore. Maybe PopHop.
I really kind of hate his lyrics, just made to piss people of in the simplest way, always with an eye on the charts ("No one was ever so aggressive in HipHop"), then the typical scheme of song-follow up's
(First Chartbreaker, then a more musical single, then the ballad and then some smashers again -- gone, maybe re-introduced about five years later).

I just can't take someone serious who pretends to write his own music but doesn't.

And Dre would only be slightly better.

But Dave Grohl would be awesome!
Really good idea.

Cheers, E

kenzie

please no Dr Dre please no Eminem
Good to see that they already worked with D.Nakamuro

Rather Del tha funkee homosapien or one of Jurassic 5's MC's.
Dave Grohl would be cool...better than Gallagher IMOH

How about a collab with one of the D&B legends like R.Size, Bukem or Dillinja??? Now that would be the shit...
you've got to open up your eyes and see the light

There are plenty of good bands which whom the prodigy can collaborate. However a collaboration with chem bros / @440 / aphex twin / reprazent... won't give anything 'fresh and new' in my opinion.
Collaborations are so nice because they mix up 2 or more totally different styles and influences, groups of the +/- same kind of music will only give more of the things they make separately.

But unfortunately there are as well a lot of crappy shitty bands out there. I would hate the prod doing a collaboration with those f*cking r'nb one-hit-and-then-dissapear women, any faggy boyzband,...

let the ant rule your life!
