went to the store today to see if they had bgat and they did.  its got the 3 mixes and the acappella (woohoo!!). anyway what caught my eye was the sticker on the front that says "unlocks the world of the prodigy"  so i decided to get it.  put it in my computer and it takes me to this website where you gotta fill in all this personal info and make a login for the prodigy "secret site".
the secret site is nothing more than the bgat graphics scrolling around and stuff and you can download cheap looking screen saver and stream the video off the net.  very poor quality, but i guess its better than the euro single  :-/

anyway if you wanna check out the "secret site" just go here:

and make a login for yourself.

Reminds me of a movie or tv soundtrack, but can't remember which one.

the sample sounds a lot like the blade theme from blade 2 that danny saber did

im in the US and i dunno where to get the new prod book.  i checked out amazon.com amd they say they wont have it till august and on amazon.co.uk they say it'll usually be dispatched in 2-3 days but that makes me kinda suspicious.  anyway has anyone ordered from a reliable source on the internet or know of another way for me to get the book?

thanks

The Prodigy releases / New interview with Liam
April 25, 2002, 06:27:32 PM
A talk show in Los Angeles this morning had Liam called into talk about AONO and playing in the US. When they introduced him they called him "DJ producer" to which Liam laughed and said, im not a DJ you guys are djs!.  Anyway when they called him he said he was in the studio at the moment (good sign).  Heres what he said:
-new single wll be Baby's got a temper and will be out in July

- about half done with new album (doesnt sound like will be out thhis year)

-said it took a month to get the mix of baby's got a temper right.  (maybe the songs different than when they last did it live.  maybe liam spent longer to make the track stronger)

-said will play a mix of old and new songs in the US said will play either 3 or 4 new songs (maybe 1 new one!)

-wanted to souncheck show in Las Vegas, but there was a magic show on right before them so they couldnt soundcheck early.

nothing really new in this info, but it confirms that the next single will be bgat from the best source possible.  on the radio they said that prodigy will be playing right before oasis.  maybe liam g is gonna do the new song with prodigy before oasis goes on.  :o

Live & Gigs / is liam just pressing play?
July 10, 2002, 04:30:27 AM
having been at coachella and hearing numerous bdo shows and the tokyo show, it seems like liam doesnt do anything at the shows anymore.  ive got bootlegs from 94-96 where liam would do amazing stuff, mixing different samples from songs together, or even improvising totally new tunes.  even in the early years like 91 or 92 ive liam mixed some pretty funky shit on the fly. anway at coachella it just seemed like liam pressed play on his equipment or whatever and just added a few little effects here and there.  whats the deal with this? do you think we're ever gonna get unique live shows ever again?

Live & Gigs / anyone got old shows?
July 11, 2002, 02:17:46 AM
awhile back i found some old gigs @  amnesia, book of love, big love, dance nation eclipsea back from like 91 and 92 and they're sweet.  anyway they're real audio and are pretty shitty quality. i wondered if anyone had  these or any other old school gigs?

Live & Gigs / Re: Prodigy actual setlist

and why exactly Serial Thrilla?

why fuel my fire? both serial and fuel are shittier prodigy tracks but as least keeping the playlist a little varied would increase the "surprise level" that almost all their gigs have lacked.

Live & Gigs / Coachella review
April 29, 2002, 11:11:58 PM
i just got back from coachella and their show was awesome.  they played the same set as from BDO and didnt play the song with Liam G  :'(  anyway the main difference was that babys gotta temper has changed.  the song now has guitar samples in it maybe its keith playing i dont know.  structurally its a little different and i think its a much stronger track instrumentally, but keiths singing is still kinda shitty.  i gotta decent recording of the whole gig so im gonna upload it in a few days when im done with finals i got going on.
