Liam Howlett @ Brixton Academy, London 28.11.2000
At the time Prodigy were signed to Madonna's record label Maverick in the USA and Prodigy were one of
Madonna's favourite acts. So Madonna asked Liam to do a DJ set and surpisingly Liam agreed. Liam did a
DJ set at Madonna's Brixton Academy gig. Actually he performed two DJ sets. However, Liam's DJ gig
didn't really work. Many fans thought that performing at this event was a sold-out thing and it seems
that the music that Liam played didn't work with all the celebs and mainstreat f**kers. Two years later
Liam said in an interiew: "It was a big mistake. My Biggest Mistake. It was rubbish. The gig was such a
publicity stunt. I DJd in front of 3,000 planks of wood staring at me and I just walked off at the end.
She (Madonna) only wanted me there because of the name value.
