To be honset i would have loved B.G.A.T to go in at num 1 and stay their for a bit , not for the sake of a num 1 just to fuck the charts up !

It wouldn't be that exciting. Prodigy did that five years ago with firestarter and breathe. BGAT isn't a change in direction from these tracks so really, it shouldn't have much of an effect on the charts.

QuoteBut it just`s shows why we need more bands like The Prodigy

We need more bands like Prodigy at their creative best not at their lazy worst with tracks like BGAT.

Quotewhen you get a bunch of muppets called scooter or some shit like that ,getting a better chart place.

Definitely.

QuoteWe are moveing dangerous close to all our bands being manufactured

The Prodigy releases / Re: BGAT Video

Thank God someone knows where I'm coming from! I asked a friend what he thought of it who just said 'it's not that bad, not really memorable'. it was such a comedown after an amazing video after such a long wait. I thought 'damn, am I the only person struck by such an amazong video. It seems it's only the people that have waited so long for this that really appreciate it. Man, it was hilarious. I was killing myself as those actors were transforming into the band members and then the cows, and my sides split and then everyone getting high from milk just made the tears streamed. That's a complete exageration by the way but how can words describe the 'bomb' that has finally dropped? I can't even see the track being commercial with such a video. I mean they're singing about 'rohypnol' for a start and I mean the video is far too shocking to be played on top of the pops so I'd be well pleased if this track brought Prodigy back underground. Man, Prodigy really are back now. Has anyone noticed how much publicity mtv2 have given Prodigy today (or possibly in recent days when I haven't been watching mtv2)? they've played a video on the hour every hour today and Q even played Breathe.

THE WORLD'S GREATEST BAND HAS RETURNED! THIS IS A GREAT DAY FOR ALL PRODIGY FANS!

The Prodigy releases / BGAT Video

Oh my god, the feeling i got when I saw the BGAT video. I loved the track for the first time when i saw it and I couldn't stop laughing it's just awesome. So confrontational and it really is a 'bomb' as Liam promissed it. Sorry, I'd of taken the time to make this post remotely articulate if I wasn't buzzing so much.

This topic really interests me. From listening to live recordings and watching live videos I have always wondered how loud the instruments Prodigy play are at their gigs. Quite often the instruments do seem really quiet. The drums for funky shit and breathe at brixton 97 seem almost inaudible. I reckon it's probably quite cool like that, coz it must be the really heavy, hard and intense beats that rock the crowd but what if the instruments were just as loud? From what I have heard and watched (I haven't actually been to a Prodigy gig) Prodigy gigs sound amazing but how do they compare to really heavy and fast bands like slipknot? Do the instruments give them an edge over Prodigy? I'd love to think they didn't but I have my doubts. I haven't actually seen them play but I know their Slipknot's gigs are really well respected. Someone please assure me that Prodigy is better and give me their views on how loud Prodigy should play their instruments live.

The Prodigy releases / Re: Some news on the next album

What are you saying? You like only 6 prodigy tracks?
Their Law, Voodoo People, Breathe, Firestarter, Serial Thrilla and Fuel MY Fire. I think that's all the tracks that use guitar. If you don't like electronic music you don't like most of what Prodigy do.

yeah, I think that's a good point. Who cares what a reporter thinks? I think the crowd response matters a lot more and the material prodigy play live may be quite different when released on album. Does anyone know how much new prodigy material has been played at the big day out?

They don't need to match any standart.
It's no use to make that kinda rules or create goals for them,
see, I personally'd say FOTL is the match. Then there are people who think Experience is top notch and maybe even people loving that pre-everything stuff, like android, WEL and so on.
I just try to explain you that they'll be "respected and remembered" even if they don't fuckin do another MFTJG.

What does Keith hair has got to do with the seriousness of FOTL?

Liam already stated that Trigger & Nuclear were written in quite a short time and are no indicators for the new album, so no threat in sight.
Real Prodigy fans respect Prodigy as they understand what they're about but most people just dismiss Prodigy as being the band with the stupid clown with the spiky hair and insist that their success is due to their image. Due you see what I mean about Keith's hair. I'm really pleased to hear that Liam stated that trigger and nuclear were written in quite a short time because they aren't paticularyly good tracks and offer nothing original. In terms of what Prodigy need to match, all I want is an absolute quality album that just dosen't dip and will go down as a classic because that is what Prodigy are capable of and what they ought to produce in their next album.

I've read many Prodigy related aritcles in which it has been stated that the new album is going to be brilliant and that it's going to be very different to anything they've done before but in that respect, trigger is a real dissapointment. It is not original in terms of what Prodigy have done before and not exactly an amazing track although it is good. Prodigy really need to match the MFTGJ standard if they are to be respected and remembered as a quality band because not too many people took the fat of the land too seriously due to Keith's hair. I really can't how I want the new album to sound. I realise Prodigy rock as an electronic band but it would be nice if interesting if some guitar could change Prodigy's sound and gain the respect of some Kerrang worshippers.
