I have not bought it yet but I must state that the 2 singles are bollocks
this is very disappointing as I have all their previous singles and albums... exit planet dust ,dig your own hole lp's and the loops of fury ep are their highlights but they have lost the thread now..
fucking commercial hippy house music, that's what they are nowadays.
sorry and one thing: what the fuck does "lol" and himo mean??
see ya

I understand your point of view because you want to collect all the items possible, I like also collecting prodigy items but I'm more focused only in the tunes .
you said that fire burning vewrsion is already available on cd, where?? note that I only refer to official releases, I don't like bootlegs (I only have one-electronic punks, released 1996).
maybe the only us remix that would have deserved to be included on expanded is charly-beltram says mix, but it's just my opinion.

definitelty I don't agree with you arie, expanded is a load of shit! and why do I say this so bravely, you might wonder... 8)it's just because they (xl or someone) didn't introduce anything new on it,ok, they remark that the songs have been remastered.. so what? I can't see the point there, the cd2 does not offer anything innovating.the facts are these:
they could have included at least one track from the what evil lurks e.p. ever on cd, and they lost the chance, they did not include on cd2 a track previously released only on vinyl (for instance, fire (burning version), they chose the edit which is already available on the cd single)
rip up the sound system should have been also included there, why not? it's a track which personaly I like (it's sounds similar to crazy man) ans it has never been released on cd except for a few weeks in early 92.
all the u.s remixes are forgotten (well, most of them do not deserve to be there anyway) .
so, you can guess how much I despise that release that I decided not to buy expanded, they have not been clever cause if they would have included something original (like those tracks I mentioned above) I would have bought it as fast as fuck.
thanks for your attention
ps.-I've realized that no one has mentioned rock 'n' roll in this forum yet!! do you think that liam intended to release that track sometime or just he used it as a live track and no more?

ok, in my humble opinion out of space and firestarter are one of the outstanding prodigy tracks.I agree with the guy who said that not everything that Liam has made is good but almost everything!!
the worst tracks for me are:we gonna rock(logically, we can't blame on him),ruff in the jungle bizness and serial thrilla but i'm not saying that I hate them...
the best for me are:no good, out of space, breathe, smack my bitch up,everybody...,their law, charly alley cat, narayan and full throttle among others.
otherwise, there are several remixes made by other artists to the prodigy that are a failure-dj hype's ,genaside II's.
I would also like to remark liam's remix of front 242's religion (trance u down mix), this remix is incredible!!

ok people!! if there's a man here who is really into hardcore-rave 1991-1992,that's me!!
the prodigy was perhaps the biggest band of the rave era but you may check out other incredible tunes from that years.
here's a top ten chart for me (I will not include prodigy tracks here, sorry
1-M.A.N.I.C.-I'm coming hardcore
2.acen-trip to the moon (3 parts)
3.nu-matic-body fusion
4.liquid-sweet harmony
5.zero b-lock up
6.nrg-feel the fury
7.sonz of a loop da loop era-far out
8.4 hero-mr kirk's nightmare
9.sl2-on a ragga tip
10.altern 8-evapor 8
but there are to many to mention,I 'm proud to say that I own all these records among many others!!
if anybody wants to chat about these style,I'm willing to talk about it.

hi folks
the sceptic poster is back
I have to repeat it again:I wish the new album was great!!
but I have certain doubts about that and I'll try to explain them to you.
firstly, I got to say that I buy a lot of music so I'm deep into electronica... so I'll make some comparisons on this regard that base my ideas (or fears)
1996:prodigy-firestarter,breathe---great,the best!chems-loops of fury,propellerheads-dive,take california,orbital-in sides etc...incredible tunes/albums
1997:prodigy-the fat of the land,chems-dig your own hole,fatboy slim-better living through chemistry,lunatic calm-metropol (superb)!,junkie xl-saturday teenage kick(1998),the crystal method-vegas,etc... all these were fantastic album,sure.
1999,2000,2001-chems-surrender and come with us :-/,crystal method's last one is quite bad according to several people I requested about,orbital-middle of nowhere(their worst),propellerheads are faded away as well as lunatic calm etcx....and fatboy's last is awful.
so, for me that kind of dance music is decadent though I love it,now what takes the piss is house and trance.
and please, do not insult me or something similar to this, I only write what I consider that is worth.
