The Prodigy tour dates
Live event details, tickets, setlists and tour history.
On Saturday evening just before 7 p.m., severe weather forced the temporary evacuation of thousands of people from the Shaky Knees music festival at Piedmont Park in Atlanta as a powerful thunderstorm with heavy rain, wind, lightning, and hail moved in. The sudden evacuation caused gridlock on Midtown streets and neighborhoods.
The storm hit just about an hour and a half before The Prodigy were scheduled to take the stage, disrupting their performance alongside other artists. Organizers urgently stopped all performances and evacuated the park.
After just over two hours, Shaky Knees announced on social media that the gates would reopen at 9:20 p.m. and music would continue. However, it was too late for most of the remaining lineup: only Twenty One Pilots were allowed to play. Sets by top acts including The Prodigy, Pavement, and Pierce The Veil were canceled for the evening.
The Prodigy wrote on social media: "Storms have cancelled The Prodigy and other bands' performances... hope to be back soon." This was doubly unfortunate, as the concert was supposed to be the band's first show of the current American leg of their tour.
