Liam Howlett’s synths and gear in studio and live.
Ideal as a master keyboard controller for professional studios the M-Audio Oxygen 49 puts DAW and plug-in controls at your fingertips.
The top panel features 49 full size velocity sensitive keys – that’s a full 4 octaves. As with all the Oxygen 3rd Gen MIDI keyboards the right hand side features 8 rotary pots that can be assigned to effects and filters, with a dedicated transport control section for mapping to any music software.
9 smooth slider faders give you control over 8 main channels within your DAW, plus one for controlling the master output. The slider faders are assignable and there’s even a button selector below each fader. All these MIDI controls can be mapped to any software parameter.
The select buttons below the backlit L.E.D screen allow you to recall any preset, send programme changes and send MIDI channels on the fly, making the Oxygen 49 easy to work with software synthesizers and external MIDI gear. Quickly navigate your sessions with Track buttons and record new parts without having to touch your keyboard or mouse. Good quality pitch bend and modulation wheels can be found on the left corner.
With built in direct link technology all the controls found on the Oxygen 49 can be instantly mapped by selecting any parameter within your software and simply moving the control on the keyboard for instant mapping.
Compatible with all the major DAW software including Ableton Live, Logic, Garageband, Reason, Cubase and Pro Tools, direct link gives you the power to create your mix, navigate sessions and tweak your sound without any complication.
All this is powered by a single USB port found on the back of the Oxygen 49 along with a 6.3mm Jack insert for connecting a sustain pedal. The unit can be powered on and off with the black power switch.
