Pop goes the web weasel

Thanks to its pierced lead singer Keith, The Prodigy has a new Web site to go with its new album Fat of the Land (which features pleasant ditties such as "Slap my bitch up"). The site features a large database of pictures, sound files and video clips, enabling you to search for their favourite clips of Keith and co in scarifying action. Special offers, news updates and competitions will make the site a regular haunt for Prodigy fans.

The Prodigy, currently rated as the scariest band in pop.

Bristol combo Portishead also has a new Web site, which reflects an all together more laid-back form of dance music. Exclusive previews of tracks from the band's forthcoming album (titled just Portishead) are available online with footage of the band filming tracks from their first album Dummy. Portishead news and interviews will be available on the site, which will be a taste of what's to come later in the year when the full site is launched to coincide with the release of the new album.
