A 23-year-old man who jumped off a balcony into the crowd at a Prodigy concert in Dundee has been fined £750.
Leigh Reeve, from Carnoustie in Angus, fell 20 ft and landed on the floor of the Caird Hall in January.
Reeve, who suffered a brain injury and broken pelvis, was called a "complete idiot" by a sheriff at Dundee Sheriff court.
The labourer, who had been drinking, was told by Sheriff Richard Davidson his behaviour was "reckless."
He told Reeve he was lucky not to have been killed or to have injured other fans.
Sheriff Davidson added that Reeve had to be given "a substantial penalty given the nature of the offence, and so it may discourage other idiots from trying to fly from balconies".
