More details emerge about the LP...
Hollywood star JULIETTE LEWIS has spoken to NME.COM about her collaboration with Prodigy.
Speaking after a Los Angeles show supporting Har Mar Superstar, the vocalist for Juliette And The Licks said she recently travelled abroad to work with Prodigy mainman Liam Howlett.
“I went to England. I didn’t want to do the taping, that was too frustrating,” she told NME.COM. “I wanted to know what Liam had in mind. I wanted to get closer to him and collaborate in a real way. We had an amazingly creative process.”
A spokesperson for the singer and actress confirmed she put in performances on tracks ‘Hot Ride’, ‘Spit Fire’ and ‘Twista’. Lewis says the new material is part of a new phase for the British dance rockers.
“I think what [Liam] is doing is really amazing because he’s not trying to repeat old successes with the Prodigy. He’s actually taking it up a notch.”
Lewis recently finished recording her debut album with her band, The Licks. The record is due out in June in the US.
“What I want to do with this first album is just capture the live show,” she said. “All it’s about for me is just capturing the live energy.”
Prodigy will release ‘Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned’ in August.
