"'Firestarter' was a risk, we had never done a fully vocal track before and Keith had never sung before. It was hardly the safe option. We could have turned out the same tunes over and over again, but that's not what The Prodigy are about. We are about taking risks" -( Prodigy "Fat of the Land" Independent Music Press, London, 1997 )
this is priceless.
I would say the prodigy is priceless.. I really don't see any point listening them..

it really is crazy how liams attitudes have changed.....
Yeaaah, but wasn't it always like this?
After every album he said it was the last that had been written.
I remember an article mentioning their sometimes totally incalculable contrariness.
THAT is what they are really about... Contradiction.
you should stop analyzing every single word they say. not referring to that quote, but in general.
and as for that quote, 'about taking risks'. this might be arguable, but c'mon, releasing a track like Firestarter wasn't really a real big 'risk' either, not bigger or smaller than bgat. they tried it out and they knew it worked, otherwise they wouldn't have released it.
oh but it was a risk, remember up until 96 keith was known as the guy with the funny hair that dances, nobody ever though he would be siging on the next prodigy single
Ok it was introduced and tried out in their sets before it hit the shelves....but really could have blown up in their faces as a single release...it could have really flopped
