Samples / Trigger Riff ??
Last post by antz (to lazy to login) - May 04, 2002, 11:03:49 PM
I need someone elses opinion on this,

I found a track called 'Strange Town' by 'The Jam' and it had a riff in the middle which sounds quite abit like the geetar riff in 'Trigger'... have a listen; (download 'strange town' file)

Liam could have easily distored it, he could have even changed a few notes (or whatever) - Let me know what you think?

Cheers.

hi there,

i am remixing little goblin from live stuff and this loop from the official page but i'm stuck right now. does anybody know how to emulate that car horn sounding synth liam used in this track? or is there perhaps a way to extract that portion from live recordings so it is clean and useable?

seems indeed the sample taken from there... also it says guitar by Lance Riddler, but the sample sounds like from Nirvana, don't remember which track... maybe those samples has been recreated... but sounds pretty the same...

For all you who love the flute by Phil Bent in voodoo peolpes.
Here is a sample that sounds just the same.
Song: Johnny Pate - You're starting too fast
What you need to do before it sounds exactly the same. Pitch it up 3 shifts. The sample
is like in two groups. You need to take part two and put it infornt of part one.

I'll try to find some more mysterious samples from the prodigy.

Many thanks for that one!
I love to get in touch with 'uncredited' Prodigy samples (samples you won't find on every "sample list" from the fan-pages).

A few months ago when i listened to The Beginning Of The End's "Funky Nassau", i noticed Liam used a part of it in "No Good (Start The Dance)".
