Samples / Re: BGAT samples..

Liam used to play 'Music: Response' in DJ sets but I haven't spotted any samples used in BGAT.

has anyone noticed that the vocals in 'Nuclear' "for every action there's a reaction. every action..." could be taken from the flim 'The Snatch'. I don't mean that they are directly sampled from there but there's a similar line in the movie (spoken by Brad Pitt).

ha. hard to say because I haven't bought it because I'm not gonna pay a pile of euros for that kind of rip off.

I hope that Prodigy and Flightcrank won't collaborate. I don't have anything against Leeroy, but his Flightcrank material was very weak.

BTW BGAT was 7th in the first week in Finland.. I think that's quite shitty postion if you know what other bands there are.

but Juge, as you probably know it, in Finland the chart isn't just sales - they also count radio plays. that's probably why it's just 7th.

but that guitar big beat style was invented by, so in that they are the band, the only band who really are "entitled" to use it. back then, circa 1996 it was a new sound, but now you can find many records which use that same guitar, filthy vocals, booming bass -combination.

but when it comes to Oasis; it's funny how their live shows are being praised even though all they do is play the same album version of same old songs. and during their shows they are standing still. boring.

it's a bloody shame that the band has to defend themselves even though the single isn't (offically) out yet.

Dessie has a point there. Jilted was raw. something new. something that no-one had done before. Fat Of The Land was like the big beat version of 'Be Here Now' or something similar. and the writing process was different back then - it wasn't commercial in any way. those goo' old days.

but I haven't lost hope. I'm waiting for the album. maybe it will be "the bomb".

hhmm.. I think that the problem is that everyone is waiting for the Prodigy do something totally new, mind blowing, like they did with Jilted - but now, they have found that style which they had already on Fat Of The Land and they have stick to it. BGAT isn't anything new. it's not great. but it's definitelly a Prodigy song and even though (in my opinion) Fat Of The Land sound dated nowadays I think that this "sound" which they have on BGAT is good. it's the style which Oakenfold, BT et all try to copy. Prodigy invented it. I just hope they can move on.

I would give 4 of 10.

The Prodigy releases / Re: BGAT Video

it's not the best Prodigy video but I think that it goes along well with the song. I just wish that the DVD release would contain something more than just the actual video and maybe some stupid "making of the video".

Stantons' Essential Mix was soooo good. I've listened to it many many many times. personally I hate UK garage but Statons even make it sound cool. and they are performing in Finland this summer. jiihaa!!

Stanton Warriors would be cool. somehow I find break beat very interesting. they really should remix something for the Prodigy.
